Wealth of experience

We are more than happy to share our wealth of experience with you, whether you are looking for cosy family barbecue sites, bubbling springs, steep peaks or even romantic forest havens. We can recommend adventurous motorbike tours, sunny powder snow slopes as well as tempting gourmet cuisine.

We can suggest a range of experiences or culinary tips for your enjoyment.

Tradition

It was originally built in the 1930s by Josef Schneider and his wife Angelina as a “small house” for receiving guests. At that time, Schneider was already a pioneer and trendsetter of both skiing and the promotion of tourism in Lech.
Under daughter Melitta the original guesthouse gave way to a new building in 1976. She passionately managed HAUS MELITTA together with her husband Manfred Mathis until the 80s.

Since the 90s, son Markus has lovingly run HAUS MELITTA together with his wife Gerti. Together with her and their children, Andreas and Sandra, “HAUS MELITTA” unites the heart and soul of a lovingly-run family-owned business, as well as the know-how of a third generation ski instructor, in Lech am Arlberg.

The location a great, off the main drag but only a few minutes walk from both the restaurants and a T-bar to get you to the main lifts. Gerti also offers eggs each morning, cooked as you wish.

You can conveniently park your car in the “Anger” underground garage (village centre). Parking is free in summer; in winter the charge is € 20.00 per day.
There is a garage available in Haus Melitta for motorcycles and bicycles.

You can arrive before 6 p.m. any day of the week.

Please let us know your estimated arrival time, should you be arriving later on.

On the day of arrival, your room will be available from 3 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you are welcome to leave your luggage and car with us and in the meantime, until your room is ready, experience the variety of Lech.

Caution: The Warth – Lech road is closed in winter!

Destination station: St. Anton am Arlberg or Langen am Arlberg

From there you can take a bus or taxi to Lech. (Travel time approx. 20-30 min.)

LECHWEG

The long-distance trail Lechweg attracts one of the last wild-flow river areas of Europe and allows its guests 125 km of easy wandering in one of the most beautiful alpine regions. The hiker accompanies the Lech from its source near the Formarin lake to the Lechfall in Füssen in the Allgäu.

The Green Ring is a hiking route over 3 stages on mountain ridges, through valleys, past mountain lakes and rivers with waterfalls, some in full view and others concealed, in and around Lech Zürs. You can immerse in a modern world of legends presented with humor and charm.
